East Providence Police Make Arrests in Heroin Distribution Investigation

On Thursday, the East Providence Police and Federal Drug Enforcement Agency Officials arrested a Providence man who they allege was running a heroin distribution operation between Providence and Fall River. During his arrest, a search of his home uncovered over $380,000 in cash and a $37,000 rolex watch.
Initially, the case was charged in State Court and the Defendant was ordered held without bail pending an upcoming bail hearing. In these types of cases, it is likely that charges will be brought in Rhode Island Federal District Court by the U.S. Attorney's Office as well.
